Setting line in kermit for SCO Unix System V/386

I've just got hold of kermit for SCO Unix SysV/386,
I can't seem to be able to set the line to /dev/tty2a for com2,
this i can do from MSDOS kermit.
Can anyone help ?
the file /dev/tty2a does exist.
