Are there any FTP sites dedicated to Sys V for the 386? All PD software
seems to be designed for BSD unix and usually requires some work to get
it running on SYS V. It would be nice if there was a place where you
could get premodified programs. It would also be useful if binarys
where available along with the source code for people who don't have
the hard drive space to compile the stuff.
ESIX X question:
I finally got a decent video card to use X windows with and noticed that
text is drawn much much much more slowly thank graphics. Xlife ran about
5 times faster when I stopped it from listing the # of generations that
had passed. Is there any way to fix this, or do you have to get a fast
386 (or 486) to use text in X windows.
PC NFS:
How well does NFS work under DOS? Who makes it other than SUN and FTP?
Memory:
Does ESIX have any limits on maximum memory size?
