I have received mail from several people that indicate that
some of the problems I have described in a previous posting may be
related to the fact that I use gcc/gas with Michael Bloom's
COFF patches. There ought to be no such problems when
using stock gcc with stock AT&T as.
This applies to both the shared libraries problem and the driver.c
problem.
I should add to this that I have not yet applied Michael Bloom's
second release of patches. I will let the net know whether this
makes some difference.
Also, please don't ask me to mail or ftp the binaries to you.
They are over 4.7 MB big, that's just too big to mail, and
ftp is out, as this site is not on the Internet.
If you just want the sources, you can anonymously ftp from:
Site: star.cs.vu.nl (192.31.231.42)
File: pub/Xserver/Xserver.tar.Z
