| Would somebody usnig Dell unix 4.0 comment on which tape drive he's using?
| We originally planned to purchase an Archive 2150s, but then found out from
| dell support that the officially supported tape drive is wangtek 5150pk,
| which requires an extra controller. Is anyone using the archive 2150s
| with dell's unix 4.0? Is there any problem during the installation (using
| the 2150s)? And are those two drives compatible? (sorry, I don't know much
| about tape drive standards) I would rather use a scsi tape drive if possible.
The Wangtek 5099 and 5125 work with the PC-36 or EV-811 controllers.
The Archive 2150s works with the Adaptek controller. I've used a SCSI
DAT, too, but I can't remember who's.
| Also, I would appreciate any comment/experience on 150mb (scsi or not) tape
| drives. I've been calling around for the 2150s, but could not find one.
| Thus, any source (reliable, and preferablly cheap) concerning the 2150s is
| also appreciated.
I've never found a cheap source for these, even in fives. They just
aren't cheap.
