SmartVu driver for non-Dell UNIX?

A client has just purchased a Dell 433TE and is moving their existing
ESIX R4 license to it.
Being a tower enclosure, the TE has a little LED array in front called
SmartVu. It resembles the similar LEDs that are on most Everex Step
systems. Both have in common the trait of following every disk access
when the machine is running DOS, but freezing sometime during the UNIX
boot procedure.
Docs that come with the TE hint that Dell UNIX includes a driver
that allows one to write messages of one's choice to SmartVu. Is this
the same driver as has been posted for the Step LEDs? If not, is it
possible to get this driver from Dell on its own?
Thanks.
