It is definitely not in their interest for Lotus to succeed because
any precedent might apply to the Apple/MS lawsuit, and MS hasn't shown
any tendency to sue people over look and feel. They'd have a hard time
showing new invention with CPM and UNIX predating MSDOS, even were
they have copyrighted the interface.
I wish companies would just compete by bringing better products to
market faster than their competitors rather than by trying to lock
people to proprietary interfaces.
