ESIX 3.2 and Syquest SQ555 problems

We can not use both Syquest SQ555 and a Seagate 80 MByte SCSI drive
at the same Adaptec 1542 controller. Under dos all works fine but
under Esix 3.2D we can not mount the second drive. We tried both
possibilities i.e. both drives run well as first drive.
