| Yes and No...
| I have an Orchid ProDesigner II SVGA card also based on the ET4000, running
| under SCO ODT 1.0.0 .
| The ODT driver is written for the older ProDesigner which uses an ET3000 chip.
| This combination will work fine at 640x480. It will also operate at the
| 800x600 resolution, but with noticeable flicker. It will not operate at
| 1024x768.
| I called both SCO, and Orchid and they both claim that they are working
| on a new device driver for the ET4000. No one seems to know if ODT 1.1 will
| include it.

Open Desktop 1.1 does not include any ET4000-specific grafinfo files
(it's not a driver, but rather a file which defines how to access the
installed video card in various modes). However, the ET3000 grafinfo
files should work fine at all resolutions up to 800x600. If you want
gory details about why 1024x768 isn't supported on ET4000 cards, send
me some e-mail.
I was unaware that use of the 800x600 mode produced flicker on ET4000
cards; there is at least one ET4000 VGA card in use internally (Sigma
Legend) that does not produce flicker in this mode. This card is
hooked up to a Sony CPD-1304HG monitor. Could the flicker you observe
on your system be attributed to the monitor you're using?
