Pcnfsd for SCO platforms - summary

Several people have recently posted questions regarding the availability
of pcnfsd for SCO operating systems. What follows is a summary of how
you can obtain pcnfsd for SCO platforms.

Due to modifications in the SCO kernel, the standard pcnfsd source will
not work on SCO platforms.  SCO has modified and recompiled the pcnfsd
source and the chart below shows what is needed to get pcnfsd running on
various SCO platforms. 

Note that SCO does not sell an NFS for SCO Xenix.


ODT 1.0 personal system:		SLS lng230, UFE
ODT 1.0 Server Upgrade:			SLS lng230

ODT 1.1: 				The pcnfsd binary is provided with 
					the ODT 1.1 personal system but will
					not work without the ODT 1.1 Server
					Upgrade


SCO NFS 1.1.0 for SCO UNIX		SLS lng230

		UFE == ODT Maintenance Supplement E
		SLS == Support Level Supplement

Although UFE is not required to get pcnfsd running on a System with the
ODT 1.0 Server Upgrade, it is highly recommended for the other enhancements
it provides.
