C news on SVR4: no problem (mostly) (was: thread on UHC R4 )

I installed C news on my Intel SVR4 and it was (mostly) no problem (
well, at least not much more of a problem than C news' pain-in-the-ass
installation procedure normally is), just a couple of tweaks needed.
NN v6.4 also worked pretty much out of the box.
