How about a 5 year depreciation schedule. Any software that isn't still
useful after 5 years wasn't a good deal to begin with, even if it was free. 
You were ripped off right? You deserve a refund for all that lost time wasted 
in retraining. After all, they're forcing you to learn a whole new buglist
and develop a whole new set of workarounds. Why they should pay *you* to
take their new software. :-)
