EISA and memory > 16 MB

I looked in the FAQ, and didn't see answers to the following questions:
Which R 3.2 or R 4.0 vendors support EISA devices (e.g. disks)? Anyone?
Which R 3.2 or R 4.0 vendors support memory > 16 MB? I know there was
a discussion of this related to someone, maybe Dell, and something, like
whether others' UNIXes couldn't go over 16 MB due to DMA requirements
(paging?), but I don't know what the overall situation is for ESIX, ISC,
etc.
For reference, I am going with the ALR BusinessVEISA, a truly lovely
machine at an amazing price, and am wondering whether UNIX could hack
it if I popped in 12 of those 4 MB SIMMS and took it all the way up
to 49 MB...
