132col on the Console?

This is probably a FAQ (I looked 'onest guv!) but...

Anyone know how to persuade a SCO/ISC/Generic SysV386 console to display
132 cols by 24 lines?  Seems to me like vga at least can hack this but I
can't see any obvious mechanism.
