info on 8mm tape drives?

Our company is considering purchase of an 8mm tape drive (or other inexpensive
tape drive solution) that can back up 4 ra90s on a VAX 6000/410 with a BI bus 
running ULTRIX 3.1 or 4.0. Does anyone have experience with the various 
solutions suggested to me:

	1) an Exabyte tape drive in conjunction with a Clearpoint
	   controller;

	2) a Megatape tape drive/controller combination;

	3) other?

I'd appreciate your comments on the merits/deficits of any of these tape
drives/controllers...
