You can have multiple lines for a given system in the L.sys file use a prefix on
the "speed" to select different lines in the L-devices file, which specify different
modem descriptions in the acucap file:
L.sys:
xygate Any,5 ACU tb9600 12223333 "" P_ZERO "" \d\d\r\r\c ogin:--ogin:-BREAK-ogin: ...
xygate Any,5 ACU v9600 12223333 "" P_ZERO "" \d\d\r\r\c ogin:--ogin:-BREAK-ogin: ...
L-devices:
ACU tty15 tty15 v9600 v32
ACU tty15 tty15 tb9600 pep
acucap:
pep|tbpep|trailblazer-pep|Telebit Trailblazer in pep mode S50=255:\
:cr:hu:ls:re:ss=AAATZ\r\d:sr=OK:sd#250000:di=A\dA\dATS50=255DT:dt=\r:\
:dd#50000:fd#50:rs=,:os=CONNECT:ds=\d+++\dATZ\r:ab=\d+++\dATZ\r:
v32|trailblazer-V.32|Telebit Trailblazer in V.32 mode S50=6:\
:cr:hu:ls:re:ss=AAATZ\r\d:sr=OK:sd#250000:\
:di=A\dA\dATS50=6S58=0S68=0DT:dt=\r:\
:dd#50000:fd#50:rs=,:os=CONNECT:ds=\d+++\dATZ\r:ab=\d+++\dATZ\r:
If this all seems confusing, just keep in mind that not all the fields in the
uucp control files are limited to their apparent meaning...
