Amd on Ultrix 4.0.1, cannot reboot.

I have a vaxstation 2000 with Ultrix 4.0(.1).
I mount only the root (/dev/rd0a) with fstab.
Amd start in /etc/rc just before the nfs mount.
I had to move portmap from rc.local to rc, because amd use RPC.
/etc/amd -d efd.lth.se -l syslog /usr /etc/amd.config
All works fine, amd mounts and umounts as it should in /usr.
But the system hangs when I try to reboot. It is not possible to
rlogin or telnet, but I can ping the machine. (sync works also)
The only way out is to halt and boot.
Has anyone any experience with this type of configuration?
Please e-mail to jh at efd.lth.se.
The mount map to amd looks like this:
/defaults opts:=rw,int,hard,grpid;rfs:=/usr/${key}
oc1 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
oc2 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
oc3 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
oc4 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
oc5 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
bb1 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
bb2 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
bb3 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
bb4 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
inst type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
oddput type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
oddput2 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
srclib type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
srclib2 type:=nfs;rhost:=oddput
urd type:=nfs;rhost:=urd;rfs:=/Netnews
archive type:=nfs;rhost:=urd;rfs:=/Archive
* opts:=rw,hard;type:=nfs;rfs:=/usr;sublink:="${key}";\
rhost:=koala
Amq shows this:
/ auto "root" mordor:(pid24)
/usr auto /etc/amd.config /usr
/usr/5bin nfs koala:/usr /a/koala/usr/5bin
/usr/bin nfs koala:/usr /a/koala/usr/bin
/usr/ucb nfs koala:/usr /a/koala/usr/ucb
/usr/local nfs koala:/usr /a/koala/usr/local
/usr/srclib nfs oddput:/usr/srclib /a/oddput/usr/srclib
/usr/oddput nfs oddput:/usr/oddput /a/oddput/usr/oddput
/usr/lib nfs koala:/usr /a/koala/usr/lib
