Hi! This is my first time to post news to the net, please excuse my ignorance.
I am currently working on a client site which they have a problem with a DAT
(Digital Audio Tape). Someone dumped data onto the DAT and rewinded the tape
then accidentally issued a 'dd' command. As a result, the tape now has a
End-of-Tape marker at the beginning of the tape. We want to be able to read
by-pass the End-of-Tape marker and extract the data out from the tape.
We are using DEC Ultrix 3.1, the tape drive that we use is a Giga Trend
model 1235 4mm/DAT drive.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
