The "Using the UNIX System" book by Gauthier is a decent introduction for
someone who has never touched a UNIX system before.  It combines information
from a number of different source in one place with an alright index.
Chapter 9 (System Administration) should be of help to any new
super-user/administrator.  Although it is dated and tied to V7 UNIX,
it should still be valuable for those starting out.
