  Model 33 teletypes are not the only terminals that don't have "|" characters
on them. We have some Tektronix 4006 graphics terminals, and we have to use
"^" or "\!". However the "^" form will also soon become obsolete, since it is
not recognized by the C-shell, which most of our users are using.
