UNIX on Series 1?

I am trying to track down any substantive rumors (facts even)
about UNIX running on IBM Series 1 machines.  I know someone at
a university has done it (the famous NUXI lecture), and I have
heard mutterings about IBM doing it (denied by IBM of course).

I need at least a pointer to someone who can talk about it.
