UUCP version advise sought

There seem to be very many versions of UUCP out on the net, each with
improvements and bug fixes to the original distributed with V7.  We're
bringing UUCP up on the BBN C/70, and would like to start with the
most reliable and bug-free version available.  Is the System V UUCP source
a good base?  Or perhaps the 4.2BSD merged UUCP sources?
