If the encrypted text is the same, then under the modified-DES scheme
I am sure the plaintext is also the same. However, the "salt" helps
a lot since usually the same plaintext password for different users
would encrypt to different salted text.
Now, if two people are SUSPECTED of having the same password (say, a
husband and wife), then on that assumption it will be much easier to
break the encryption even though different salts were used.
