uucp info needed

[spaf at gatech.UUCP]

One of my students is interested in designing a uucp-compatible
transfer program to run on Prime 50-series machines (so we
can interface our Prime network to our Vax).  It would be
wonderful if anyone out there knows anything about references,
protocols or just any information that would make this
whole effort a little easier.  Can anybody provide some aid?
