Any experiences with a Versatec?

Apologies to those in Europe who've seen this before ...

Specifically, does anyone have a Versatec printer/plotter which is
used to print output from [nt]roff or similar?  If so, I'd be grateful
if you could answer the following:

1)	What software do you use?  
2)	Who supplies it?  
3)	Would it fit on a PDP11/44?
4)	How much of a drain on the system is it?
5)	Any other comments?
