UUCP & modems.

We are concidering purchasing a few of the new auto-dial modems
for our VAX.  I really don't want to write any code, so I am looking
for people that have modified UUCP to work with one of the new modems
(I'm sure someone must have).  I have looked at several different kinds
of modems, and the Vadic VA212 looks like the best buy.  Does anyone
have any recomendations/advice/version of UUCP/comments you are willing
to give me?

PS What I mean by the new modems is the following
1) Integral Auto-Dialer
2) 1200 (212)/300 baud
3) cheap (less than $700)
4) Auto Answer.
