Emulex CS 11/F DMF-32 emulation board problem

	Configuration:	Vax 780 running 4.2 bsd
			one unibus
			one uda50/ra81
			one tu80 and controller
			one dz


I am trying to install an Emulex dmf board, but am
having troubles. When the board is in the unibus,
the system will boot, but it hangs after seeing 
the second dmf. (The emulex is configured to look like two dmf's).
I tried booting genvmunix and the system did come up after only looking for
one dmf, but it tends to crash if you try to access the ra81. Simple things
like mount -a or ps do not work.

We did remove the mpr jumper because the dmf is a dma device.

The vectors for the dmf's are 734 and 674. The vector for the uda is 774.
I have had some suggestions that the vectors for the uda and the dmf should
not be so close together, but that sounds a little like black magic  to
me.


Does anyone have a similar configuration that is running. Or barring
that, does anyone have a suggestion?
