OK, just as it seemed reasonable to buy a Pyramid 90X, comes some benchmark
data in which the Ridge 32 outperforms by 20-33% both the VAX 780 and the
Pyramid, using the Buchholz benchmark distributed to the net about a year
ago. This gives fairly gross results which cannot be extrapolated too far,
but it does suggest that Ridge is worth a look, especially given its low price.
Does anyone out there have any experience with this machine? What's its
architecture like? It advertises Ethernet support. Can I assume that
implies TCP/IP support as well?
