System III init needed

I am looking for a version of init, for my Onyx running System III,
that understands /etc/ttys as per bsd4.x.  We have licenses to
spare, but I can't dial out  now, and this is cramping my uucp
just slightly!  Any pointers would be appreciated, I really
do not have the time to do the rewrite myself.
