TZ Rationalization Requested

If for some strange reason I want to know the 'name' of my timezone,
I can call ctime(3) and pick off the timezone part of it.
Frankly, how often do you need to do this, anyway?

I can't really see what rationale the USG people had for this
TZ hack.  Yet another USG lossage, as far as I'm concerned.
