Help for UNET?

Has anyone installed (or attempted to install) 3Com's UNET Ethernet software
on either a VAX-11/780 running 4.1BSD or a PDP-11/44 running Version 7 Unix?
We are using 3Com's Ethernet Controller (3C300).

We have had significant difficulty in interpreting the documentation,
discovering and correcting bugs in the code, and getting it to work.
