MAJOR BUG (vi modeline) -- a safe & powerful alternative

There are a number of bugs (and potential bugs, for anyone making
changes) in ex/vi due to ``11 squishing'' (reusing buffers all over
the place).  If you decide to experiment with macros, named buffers,
yanking, and undoing, test it out in a "junk file" first!
