HELP!! VI ERROR???

UNIX WIZARDS!!!!!

Can anyone help me?  I use "vi" to delete headers on sources posted
to net.sources.  This time:
	1. I issued:  "vi part*"
	2. vi edited "part1 - n characters"
	3. I issued: ":1,/^#/-d"
	4. vi deleted header
	5. I issued: ":w"
	6. vi reply: "part1 - write not complete: not enough room on device"

What does the reply mean? (in #6)  (not exact)
