         Call for Papers: Window Environments and UNIX(TM)

                    USENIX Spring Conference
                        Denver, Colorado
                        January 15, 1986


This meeting will explore the design  and  integration  of  UNIX-
based  window  systems and their applications.  We solicit papers
for presentation; topics might include but are not limited to:

     o hardware and software architectures
     o window system - operating system interface issues
     o window-based programming environments
     o color: use, implementation, integration
     o user interface design
     o integration of windows and existing UNIX tools

Papers or extended abstracts must be submitted by  September  30.
Authors  will  be  notified  of  acceptance by October 30. Camera
ready copy of accepted papers must be  received  by  December  1.
Papers  should be 8 to 12 pages long.  Presentations will be lim-
ited to 30 minutes.   Proceedings  will  be  distributed  at  the
