Problem expanding System Page Table Size - boot problem?

Hey Unix Wizards:

I'm having a bit of trouble this morning with "my" kernel. I changed
a kernel debuging aid and got a:

	panic: sys pt too small [ @ sys/vax/machdep.c ]

So I increase the system page table size from (20 + MAXUSERS)*NPTEPG
					 to (30 + MAXUSERS)*NPTEPG.

Now it stops in the boot phase after loading the data psect.
    Ex:
	:hp(0,0)vmunix.nfs
	317188+146164
		HALT INST EXECUTED
		HALTED AT 00000001 [ Why Here ? ]

Could this be a problem with the boot?
Perhaps I should try 22 instead of 30?

The sizes if the kernel are:
	text	data	bss	dec	hex
	317188	146164	66340	529692	8151c

The reason it's so large is it includes:
	NFS,
	DoD Internet,
	ISO Internet,
	Chaos Net,
	Kernel Tracing,
	etc, etc, ...

So, do you think it the boot? Is it easy to change? [Probably not]

It probably easily avoided by not increasing the pt size so much,
but just in case it's not I thought it prudent to ask around.
