USG V2R2 Paging Release

Has anyone out there had the "pleasure" of porting
the new paging release of un*x from AT&T to 68k or
16k systems? Looking at the vax sources reveals VAST
differences between it and the previous 5.2.1 release.

I am VERY interested in hearing people's experiences,
thoughts, comments etc. as I am about to start up
several ports.

Some obvious  questions are a) how well separated  out are
the machine dependancies? b) is there any chance this is more
of a "drop in" to the 5.2.1 release then an entire new port?
c) how hard wired is the code to the vax map etc., i.e. what
percentage of the code needs to be redesigned from scratch
to bring it up on other popular architectures?

I hope this info is of a general enough nature that a net
discussion will ensue, otherwise please mail or phone me
