I am looking for a C language cross-compiler to generate 8051 object
code and to run on the following:
AT&T 3B2 [first choice]
68010 system running Unisoft UNIX V [second choice]
Intel MDS-230 Microprocessor Development System [desperation move!]
I require an intermediate assembly language listing which should be
as close as possible to the Intel ASM-51 Macro Assembler (gotta patch and debug
somehow...). Object code output will be fed to a Kontron PROM programmer;
I prefer an Intel hex format, but will settle for anything.
I do not require a full implementation of the C math libraries, and
will even forgo floating point arithmetic in order to get started. I will
also forgo many of the file manipulation functions. Obviously there will have
to be some 8051-specific functions added in order to handle I/O, interval
timers, etc.
We have a number of 8051 projects going at the present time, and
desperately require some productivity improvement (i.e., C language) which
will also be compatible with our higher level systems running UNIX.
Cost is of minimal importance (within reason) for the right product.
