Why don't people use mod.unix?

A couple of months ago, Ron Heiby started up mod.unix as a
moderated version of net.unix*. It seems that I am one of the very few
people who have stopped submitting stuff to net.unix-wizards and send it
instead to mod.unix. As far as I can tell the net groups still have the
same volume of junk and the mod group is starved for submissions.
Frankly, I don't understand. Are people afraid that their
postings will get rejected? If so, then they probably don't deserve
posting at all. Does the extra day or so delay bother you? Or is it
that you really prefer that your postings get lost in a morass of
unsorted and repetitive effluent?
