Intercepting Send Messages

[Daryll Strauss]

I am trying to write a program that will intercept send messages before
displaying them on the terminal, then write them out in a cleaner format.
But I can't seem to find a way to grab the message. I knew this was going to
be difficult, but I am hoping for a "reasonable" solution.
