panic: sbflush 2

My VAX 785 running 4.2 BSD has just crashed for the third time
this week with "panic: sbflush 2".  No kernel changes at all but
we did have some work done on one of the Eagles this weekend.

Do you know the cause?  Or have ideas?  If so, please contact me
