error=22 on sending msg in RFS

After installing the latest version of distributed RFS (Remote File System)
distributed from tekcrl!toddb, we got the annoying error message 
"error=22 on sending msg" a couple times a day on all systems.  After 
searching the code, it was generated from rmt_io.c.   Does anyone have
the same problem or what causes it?
