We have a VAX 11/780 running 4.1 BSD with 4 meg of 16K chip memory.
(1) If we wanted to upgraded to 32 meg of 64K chips memory, how many
new memory controllers would we need and would 4.1 BSD be able to use
all the memory with at most minor source code changes? How much 64K
chip memory can we put in and have only one new memory controller? ("One
new controller will work with ??? meg of memory.")
(2) What about the same question as (1) but for 4.2 BSD?
(3) What about the same question as (1) but for System V.2.2?
Partial answers are still appreciated, as long as you are giving me correct
info!
Thanks.
