I don't want to get huffy either (:-)), but why do vendors (DEC,PYRAMID and
HCR come to mind) continue to distribute the old V7 UUCP code instead of
new AT&T uucp? Is there some licensing issue I'm unaware of or a desire
not to disturb the installed (deficient) program base?
We use the new uucp on our 3B2's and the new Userfile format allows much more
flexibility and eliminates some of the voodo involved with the old USERFILE.
Is everyone waiting for Berkeley to migrate to the new uucp?
Are uucp standards documented in the SVID? Should they be?
