multivol piped to tar

This is a bug in 'tar'.  On our version (Xenix 2.1.3) I can fix
it with:

	atob | uncompress | tar xfb - 1

I have never seen the source to tar, so I don't what the underlying
problem is.  Evidently default block sizes get messed up on extracts.
