? Like what? How else can you deal with the problem of careless terminal
? users at the time they are being careless?
Depends on how evil you want to be. Some terminals have a screensaver
that blanks the screen after awhile. Any key press restores it. I used
to blindly hit return, but now hit shift instead (or space on terminals
that only unblank on a real key). Type `rm -rf ~' without the return.
If he or someone else hits return, well he is not a happy camper. That
is a bit severe, and could get you into trouble, so you might want to
change the -rf to -ri, or add an unmatched quote to scare him a bit.
Perhaps the best thing to do is put `kill -9 $$' or `exit' into his
.cshrc or .profile and then log him out, or chmod all his files to
mode 0 or change his shell, or as Doug says, use your imagination!
