rexd problems (?)

Could someone please fill me in on the supposed security problems with
the daemon "rexd" in SunOS 3.2?  I would like to make use of the
program "on" which uses this daemon, and I need to know what is (was)
wrong with it, and whether it was fixed in SunOS 4.0.  Thanks!
