Will BSD run on a uVAX3100? URGENT!

Our site is being urged to dispose of our 780 and replace it with something
else.  We are looking for options.  One recommendation was for a very new
system, the MicroVAX 3100.  At roughly 2.4 times the processing power,
it should handle our immediate needs.  BUT!  The big question that
no one seems to know is WILL IT RUN 4.3 BSD?   DEC will sell you Ultrix
for the 3100 with up to a 16-user license.  HA!    We have that many people
trying to login while we are booting.

So since we already are licensed to the gills for n-user BSD, we would really
like to keep running it.  Does anybody know the answer?

Please respond by mail as I don't want to be the cause of a good processor
vs bad processor war, at least not in this group.  Thanks.
