Make error

I'm having a bit of a problem with make.  I type 'make' to compile gdb,
and get the following error:

make: Fatal error in reader: Makefile, line 168: Unexpected end of line seen

Whe I look at line 168, everything appears to be fine.  Any ideas?

I'm running SunOS 4.0.3 on a Sun 3/60.
