aliases work in the bourne shell (at least all of the /bin/sh's that I
have used.
For example:
ls()
{
/bin/ls -CFb $@
}
is the same as aliases ls '/bin/ls -CFb \!*' #csh notation
This lets me make /bin/sh survivable on strictly SV3.2
systems for me.
