Remote Command Execution over WAN.

Last weekend, we installed two Routers between Montreal and Toronto, 
connecting our backbone Ethernets through X.25.

When we execute remsh or rcp commands between two 3B2 UNIX systems
we encounter problems (either the connection hangs up or the command
aborts with an error message).
Has anybody encountered this problem before. ?
Any help will be appreciated.
