Permissions (was SUID, SGID and Sticky bits on inappropriate files)

We keep general-access files in our GUEST directory - files that you want
several users to test/play with to see if they work as planned.
Anyone can "cd" to GUEST, and play around, make mods etc., but GUEST CANNOT
mess around with the files.

But the REAL REASON is that it is just pure coincidence - like your VCR
remote control having  FORWARD and REVERSE. Both are "there" but you don't
necessarily press them SIMULTANIOUSLY. Normally you give "yourself" either
"7" or "6" access, and GROUP or OTHER "6", "4", or "0". Yeah, you can mix
up the numbers - because you have the ability - but why would you?
